Educating Our Senators

March for Life Education and Defense Fund President Nellie J. Gray recently took the opportunity of Elena Kagan's nomination to the Supreme Court to educate members of the United States Senate about the Life Principles. Her letter, which drew parallels between Roe v. Wade genocide and the Nuremberg Trials, also quoted extensively from President Obama's speeches at the Buchenwald concentration camp in June 2009 and the Nobel Prize ceremony in December. Is there a difference between the president's rhetoric and his actions? Judge for yourself. The complete text of Nellie's letter follows, along with an annotated version of the Life Principles. You may also view and print PDF versions of the documents by clicking on the following links: Senate Letter (/images/2010/senate%20letter%20for%20web.pdf) Life Principles (/images/2010/life%20principles%20for%20web.pdf)

Mark Your Calendars

We at March for Life Fund send our deep appreciation to all Marchers for your enormous presence at the Rally and March on January 22, 2010. There is no doubt that your greatly increased numbers and peaceful sincere determination was recognized in Washington. Now, we are very pleased to have received follow-up phone calls from many of you at schools and organizations asking about the dates for the next two years so that you can plan your schedules. This type of organization is great. Therefore, we have set the dates for the March for Life for the coming two years. In 2011 and 2012, the anniversary date of the Roe v. Wade decision will fall on a weekend, a time when lawmakers are typically away from Washington. We want to make sure that our pro-life pilgrimage to our nation’s capitol has maximum impact on our elected leaders; and that our Marchers have an opportunity to visit with their Congressional delegations in order to press their pro-life message. For those reasons, we have scheduled the March for Life to be held on Monday, January 24, 2011, and Monday, January 23, 2012. Please plan now to attend. Your presence, in growing numbers every year, is the best way to draw attention to the untenable legacy of Roe v. Wade, and to persuade our leaders to eradicate it from America’s future.

About the March for Life

Late in October 1973, grassroots prolife leaders became concerned that January 22, 1974, might come and go without properly memorializing the Supreme Court's infamous abortion decisions, Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, and without petitioning Congress for redress.More About the March
